Leading-Edge Operations Technology

Leading-Edge Operations Technology

At Estes, we’re committed to investing in operations technology that provides real-time data, improves efficiency, and delivers a better experience for our customers. That’s why our comprehensive suite of freight shipping services is proudly backed by our industry-leading operations technology and unparalleled innovation.

Samsara

Samsara’s unique cloud platform provides Estes with real-time data to help us improve driver safety, increase operational efficiency, and lower carbon emissions. So far, we’ve leveraged Samsara’s technology to:

  • Reduce the number of 15-minute idling events across our fleet
  • Improve terminal and driver safety scores by 25%
  • Refine location data and increase ETA predictability by 40%, leading to an improved delivery experience for our customers
Optym

Thanks to the power of Optym’s AI software, Estes is able to optimize routes, improve load planning, and streamline fleet operations to better meet the diverse shipping needs of our customers. With this advanced software and performance analytics, Estes has achieved:

  • 10% reduction in empty miles
  • 3% reduction in total scheduled miles
  • Significant improvement in operational efficiency
PEGA

Estes leverages PEGA’s software integration and hand-held devices to monitor freight shipments and provide you with real-time shipment tracking and status updates. Through this automated solution, Estes is able to deliver a seamless and transparent shipping experience for our customers every step of the way.

Spireon

Spireon's fleetwide tracking system makes it possible for Estes to monitor the location of our trucks and trailers continuously. With this real-time visibility, we can optimize daily routes and improve pickup and delivery experiences, while reducing unnecessary miles and lowering carbon emissions.

Remora

Estes is the first LTL carrier–and one of just six companies–to participate in Remora’s inaugural carbon-capture pilot. Remora's carbon-capture devices are retrofitted to our trucks’ tailpipes to capture up to 80% of the truck’s carbon emissions. Remora sequesters the captured carbon by selling it to end-users such as concrete producers, who use carbon dioxide in the concrete-curing process. Once it’s available on the open market, this innovative hardware and technology will be a game changer.

Electronic Delivery Receipt (EDR)

In many terminals across the nation, Estes has begun implementing the use of Electronic Delivery Receipts (EDR)—a paperless proof of delivery. EDRs make it possible for Estes to reduce paper waste, improve operational efficiency, and streamline the shipping experience, while providing customers with 24/7 access to their delivery receipts.

With advanced technology at the heart of our daily operations, Estes is equipped to deliver exceptional service and the reliable shipping solutions you need, when you need them.
